Interesting article on how military research at Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, has created a new 'morphing' technology that will be used to create 'fake speech'. In the same way Hollywood created a 'Forest Gump shakes JFKs hand' scene, the government can now do the same, but with voice/sound.

"To some, PSYOPS is a backwater military discipline of leaflet dropping and radio propaganda. To a growing group of information war technologists, it is the nexus of fantasy and reality. Being able to manufacture convincing audio or video, they say, might be the difference in a successful military operation or coup."

Will this technology be used for good? Or to impersonate a dead person? (Binladen?)
